2019 me had no idea 2026 me would still be here. Class 7 at GRS Training Center is in the books and I got a little emotional with this one, not gonna lie. Back in 2019, with no engraving experience, I took my very first class with Sam Alfano,
@master.engraver Having such an amazing, encouraging, and talented instructor had a huge impact, and the whole GRS staff made me feel like family from day one. So coming back in 2026 to take the lettering class with Sam? I was just sitting there feeling so grateful. Full circle moment. This was such a valuable class. Sam showed us how to create gravers that could cut a wide variety of fonts, both tiny and big. I was reminded of the power of getting back to drawing, so much pencil to paper. We also learned some neat tricks on the iPad using Procreate. The demos were incredible, and everyone in class was putting out amazing work. I can’t believe how much we accomplished in five days.
