  Ever struggle to solder a backplate to a ring in the exact spot you want?!? Try this tip from @silentgoddess “@katewolftools Sticky Wax is perfect for positioning and marking ring shank locations for the perfect soldering placement. Smear a bit of the sticky wax on the backside of your ring design, position your ring shank where you want it, mark positioning anchors using a Sharpie, check your work to make sure it’s right where you want it, rub off wax before fluxing and soldering. Break out the torch and make the magic happen.*⁠” ⁠ Brilliant. I also like sticky wax for temporarily placing small faceted stones on a ring band to test layouts—and for picking up stones during setting.
