Silicone fingertips you can modify shared by @machi_jewellery - “Earlier this year, I hurt my thumb pretty badly, so I had a bandage on it for weeks. I had to protect my thumb and the bandage, so discovered these silicon finger protectors. They are stretchy enough that it fit over my thumb bandage.
They are very stretchy and all the finger ones are the same size and the thumb one is a bit wider. You can cut them easily with scissors to make bands for just covering part of the finger. You can see my thumb ones are grey because I used them a lot, but they still work well. I have decent grip with them on because they’re not very thick. They’re not perfect- they can wiggle their way off your finger- but they’re very useful if you need to protect your fingers.
I still use them if I have a minor abrasion, or my finger is a bit sore or I have a torn nail. Without a bandage underneath, you can wash your hands with them on - unlike bandaids, which I find fall off once they’re wet.
I bought them from Amazon, but I’m sure they’re widely available.“ I actually have these listed on my Amazon Storefront under “Useful Items” link in my profile! I love that these can be cut shorter and fit nicely over a bandaid 👏 thank you Machi for taking the time to share!! #safetyfirst #jewelersbench
