Stone setting tips from @lucywalkerjewellery - “Since Seat Check spray isn’t available in some countries, Sharpie can be used in a pinch to color inside the setting. Where the stone touches the marker will wear away showing you where you need to cut. Just be patient and make sure to remove any lumps and bumps that cause the stone to rock. The stone might fit, but If you set it while it’s rocking, the risk of breakage is huge. It’s a lot more challenging to set stones other than rounds because we can’t just use a setting but, we have to custom cut the seat to match the stone.” Thank you so much for letting me share this Lucy!
