Some excellent wax carving tips from @makihandmadeart - “I always found small wax models difficult to pick up and hold without breaking them. So I came up with the idea of sticking the model on a brass disc - I just used superglue to attach it. This way it stays put without the risk of breaking. I attached the disc to my engraving block so it can be rotated as desired to carve the wax model. To remove the model from the disc, you can just heat the disc from behind with a lighter.
