Love this chain storage tip from @dangbravegirl - “This is what I've used for years to store my sterling chain. Cut dowels/scrap rods to fit inside tote, mine is a standard 14x14x3 and accommodates spools from Rio... which I labeled with reorder number, priced paid (and price by foot) and chain style/size.
I can easily pull the length I need without removing the spool, measure it on the tote edge, snip it and secure the end of chain back on the spool with a piece of painters tape.
The spools rest on bottom of tote and the dowel let's you freely pull the length you need while keeping everything in place!
Just add measuring marks on your tote and you're good to go!” Thank you Jamie for taking the time to share this! I especially love the idea to add the measuring marks, such a time saver.
