Before you use your setting tools here is a tip from @makeitwithkim -“When you buy stone setting tools such as pushers and rockers, they often have fairly sharp edges that can leave marks on your work.
You can use an aluminium oxide grinding stone in the dremel to bevel and round off any sharp edges. Then sand out the scratches and leave a shiny surface with a silicone mop or good old sandpaper and any metal polish.
No more nasty marks on your bezels.” thank you Kim!! This is an important step. Many tools need to be modified before we can work with them! I’d also add that once you start using bits on tools mark them as “steel” so that you don’t contaminate your work with bits of steel! #flexshaftbits #stonesettingtools #beginnertips #jewelrybeginners
