Here is a soldering tip from @sourtimes.co - “I use a white out pen to prevent/stop solder from flowing into any stamped area when I solder the ring shank. This works really well in small tight spaces. The pen is great because it is so precise, easy to use and not messy at all!” Thank you so much for sharing with us Krysta! White Out can be an excellent tool to prevent solder flow, anytime we mention it on the page we like to also stress proper ventilation while using it! Ventilate the area and wear a respirator! There are other methods to prevent flow: graphite and commercial products like yellow ochre and Rhonda Coryell’s masking mud. However I do find white out (especially in the pen Krysta mentioned) can be really easy to apply, and it doesn’t spread around. Just remember SAFETY FIRST :) #solderingrings #stampedjewelry
