Love this bench pin tip from @ciaomonica_ @metalsmithsinflorence - “Since I live between two places and I only have a full bench at one, I have to resort to have my other “bench” at the end of my dining table (which sits a bit low…A simply built bench pin secured with a c-clamp is a perfect solution. Make sure it ends up being mid chest height when you sit down for good ergonomics plus sawing and filing ease. Having a combo of flat and angled surfaces is great because it serves to help sawing and drilling on the flat surface and then you can use the angled part for filing ( so you can see what you’re doing better). So if you’re in a position where you are metalsmithing from a table that’s too low and your back is hurting…this hack might help.“ This bracket was found at a hardware store! If anyone has the exact name drop it in the comments! Thanks Monica!!! Monica the amazing person behind @metalsmithsinvicenza where I will be learning goldsmithing in Italy this October 😵 #benchpinportrait #benchpin #benchpinmodifications
