Here are some photography tips from @radi_cal_jewelryco “Jewelry photography⚡️
This part of the biz was one of the hardest things for me to figure out. And I still am! I am still using my iPhone for all my photos. I have found you don’t really need a big ol fancy camera! Here’s a few things I’ve learned so far!!
✨I prefer to take all my photos outside. Natural light is🤌🏼 If your pieces have a high shine, I’ve found that having a blue sky above you (instead of a tree) will leave your silver looking super bright!
✨Bringing the exposer down in your photos will make sterling silver POP!
✨I try to take all my photos early in the morning while the sun is being filtered by the trees or during GOLDEN HOUR!
✨I loveeeee me some dried grass and foliage for my flat-lays. Gives the photos some depth and texture.
✨I usually work with what I got but on occasion I’ll take my pieces with me on the road and look out for interesting colored walls, flowers, plants and so on
✨I changed my iPhone case to a white one because I found my colorful case was being reflected in the silver
✨I use Lightroom to edit my Instagram feed photos. You can create your own presets in the app for a cohesive feed
✨Remember, there’s no right way! Everyone chooses to take their photos differently!
Hope you guys had fun learning a little bit about how I do all my photography!!” Thank you for sharing these ideas with us! Would love if others commented their favorite set up or background for photographing their work! #jewelryphotography #productphotography #smallbusinessowners
