@seaelements - “This is an Ikea high bar table. It's very sturdy & stable, so it worked pretty well to cut out the curve with a jigsaw. I drilled holes below to attach screw-in hooks, which you can find in any hardware store. Then got 1 meter of a thick piece of cotton cloth, folded it once, cut it in a half circle shape and attached hooks all around, to be the catch or like a "bench skin". I do everything there except for soldering, which I have a small desk for.
