Here is a border tip from @thesilverschmidt @saltcitysmithery - “To get a perfectly consistent width on a border around a bezel I keep wire scraps of different gauges at my bench to use as a guide to trace around the bezel. Swipe to see a video. Place the wire (make sure it’s smooth - no sharp bends or kinks) against the bezel on the base plate. Use a fine tip Sharpie marker to hold the wire firmly against the bezel and carefully trace around the bezel, using the wire as your guide. The smooth wire will run along the wall of the bezel allowing the marker to stay at a consistent distance from it.
Bonus tip - beaded wire scrap is a bit easier to use because the Sharpie tip stays right in the groove between beads, but you’ll be a bit more limited on sizes:
Note, this works best for bezel shapes that are smooth, without a lot of indented shapes.” I LOVE THIS. This tip was a popular one shared years ago, who was around when we first posted it?!?
