Resharing this fab patina tip from @sunlightsilver - “A simple little hack to apply patina with a brush pen. Get a watercolor brush pen (Amazon or art supply store). Remove the brush top (these turn “righty loosey, lefty tighty”). Carefully pour your patina in the tiny opening. I use Jax Silver Blackener from @riogrande (Item No. 335290). Put the brush tip back on and you’re ready to use it. Hold with the brush tip facing down and give the pen a gentle squeeze where it says “push” to load the brush tip with the patina chemicals. Apply where you want patina on your piece, then finish as you normally would. I store mine with the brush tip facing/standing up in a cup to prevent leaking and wasting the patina. Refill as needed (I refill mine 1-2 times per year, but that will depend on how much you use it). “ Love this! You can always rock rubber gloves too if you think you might get a little on your skin! If I know I won’t be using it again for awhile I dump it back into the patina bottle and rinse out the watercolor brush with soap, baking soda and water. Also some brushes do have metal which I have heard can get corroded over time so a plastic brush is best 😀 thank you for sending me this!!! #applyingpatina #silverblackener #patina #silverpatina #jewelrymaking #jewelrymakingtips
