This dust collector moves around your studio @lindsayminihan - “A couple ideas for using one machine in two spots around my studio! I got a Quatro Gold Vault for dust collection AND fume extraction during Gesswein’s Black Friday deals – but my bench and welder are on opposite sides of my studio.
Instead of getting longer hoses that I’d probably trip over, I decided to make it portable! This little kid’s flat scooter from Amazon was a quick solution – it was about $15 and I just plunked the unit on top!
To secure the hose near my work areas - I use a clip near my welder, but I needed something different at the bench. I have a steel plate above by bench pin which seemed like the perfect place for a magnet! So, I attached a heavy duty magnet to the end of the hose and it’s easy to stick right to the steel plate. It stays right where I want it, at the end of my bench pin pulling debris away from my face!” thank you Lindsay! I also have this dust collector and I love the idea of moving it around so you can collect fumes at your solder station and dust at your flex shaft 🙏 thanks for sharing with us!! I added the scooter to my “elevate Your Jewelry Sudio” Amazon list, link in profile!! #affiliateforamazon #dustcollector #jewelrystudio #jewelrymakingsafety #safetytips
